Book piece Sigi Pineda Mexican modernist bracelet out of the maestro's "boomerang" series, here the classic oxidized surfaces are complemented by obsidian in an elegantly minimalist hinged bangle. Fluidity, warmly glowing patina and Sigi's unsurpassed ability to lend dynamic motion to precious metals combine in a Taxco mid-century classic. With an inner circumference of 6 7/8" (clasped) the bracelet is between 1 7/16" and 1/2" wide and weighs a good 71.5 grams. It is fully and appropriately signed with Sigi's signature as shown as well as "STERLING", des. no 34 and Eagle 36 assay mark. It dates in the 1950s-60s and is in excellent vintage condition with its oxidation in very good shape, a smooth, perfect stone, great patina and no damage or repairs.
