Gorgeous Matilde Poulat "snake" or "serpent" bracelet, this is one of my Matl favorites - the simplicity of its design elements belies the level of craftsmanship that it demands to look perfect, with its scales all individually coiled and clustered tightly together in a uniform yet sleek body. Here the head and tail are generously wide and adorned with bezel- and channel-set turquoise and the secure clasp is further enhanced with its original safety clip. The bracelet 7 1/2" long (and it will comfortably fit a wrist of up to 7 1/4") by just shy of 7/8" (at its widest), weighing a good 57.1 grams. It is marked with Matl's etched signature in script as shown as well as with pat. no and Eagle 129, dates in the 1950s and is in excellent vintage condition with great patina, all its stones present and no problems noted.
