Pictured in Penny Morril's "Silver Masters of Mexico" on p. 136, this early Hector Aguilar bracelet is one of his "pillow" link designs, wrought here in sterling silver. Dating around 1945, it already employs the hidden hinge technique that Aguilar became known for, with the hinges in our case having been shaped in a way that anticipates the maestro's later massive "bullet" bracelet. With a length of 7 3/8" it wears more like a 6 1/2" to 6 3/4" piece due to the shape of the links and it is 7/8" wide. The bracelet weighs 54.5 grams and is fully and appropriately signed as shown with a combination of hallmarks that dates it in the 1940-1945 period. In excellent vintage condition with nice patina and no repairs or damage - an early Aguilar classic!
