Substantial yet a pleasure to wear and to behold, this vintage Rancho Alegre bracelet and earrings set will stay with you for ever! The bracelet's floral links have their layered construction accented with oxidation and brightened with faceted aqua blue gems that register in the topaz area on my gem tester. The same links become stunning dangles in the earrings. This is a rare demi and the Rancho Alegre signature, whose founder, Pedro Perez, had been Spratling's shop manager earlier in his career, guarantees its quality of workmanship and materials. Measuring a wearable 7 1/8" long the bracelet is 1" wide and weighs 63.7 grams. The dangle earrings are 1 3/4" long by 1" wide and weigh 22.4 grams thus bringing the weight of the demi up to a hefty 86.1 grams. Marked with the taller's signature as shown and des. no 1027 as well as "STERLING" and "MEXICO" the set dates in the 1950s most probably and is in excellent vintage condition with no flaws or repairs noted.
