Very fine Art Deco period macassar wood kidney shape desk with original leather top and hardware. Made in Austria circa 1920-25. Measures 73 inches wide, 29.25 inches deep at center, 32 inches deep at each side, and 31 inches high. Three drawers over two doors with open shelves on both sides and back. The back also has a door concealing extra storage. An exceptionally beautiful and functional desk. Purchased from Karl Kemp Antiques, NYC, in 2001. Pair of important Black American Folk Art cast iron andirons. This is a very rare pair of Black memorabilia just recently found in an estate in Georgia.Excellent as found original untouched condition. Each andiron measures 15 inches deep,13 and three quarters high and 9 and one half inches across the base. Antique low bow back Windsor smokers armchair, Windsor arm chair. This "antique Windsor chair" measures 16 and three quarter inches on the seat to the back. This antique arm chair measures 19 and one half inches to the seat top. This Windsor chair measures 34 inches high overall and is 20 and one half inches deep at the legs, front to back. Early Georgian hand wrought iron trivet kettle stand c1780. This iron pot stand or trivet is signed by the maker on the underside with the initials I B. The entire top surface was cut from a single piece of flat iron and then hand forged to form the open work design. The back has a penny foot and the front legs were formed form a single stock of iron that was hand welded by a master blacksmith. This period trivet measures 8 and one quarter inches high by 15 inches long and 7 inches wide. This is a true work of art. Shipping extra. Vintage Gorham sterling silver triple entree server circa 1930. Three covered bowl sare joined to a tall handle. The server is 10 and one eighth inches H x 14.75 inches W on each side. Each compartment is 7 inches W x 2.25 inches D. Each lid finial is 5 inches H. The pattern, Maintenon, now obsolete, was named after Francoise d'Aubigne, the Marquise de Maintenon (1635-1719). The Marquise was a particular favorite of King Louis XIV. In the Maintenon pattern, Gorham's interpretation of French Baroque style is restrained, elegant, and timeless. Shipping extra. Meiji period Kutani porcelain jar for storing dry tea. The inner lid has a knob and fits inside the jar neck; the outer lid fits over the jar neck. The jar is predominately white and iron red with shades of pink, aqua, and taupe, and is lavishly embellished with gold. The inner lid has a chrysanthemum, plum blossoms, and clouds. The outer lid shows a tea ceremony. There is a band of flying cranes at the shoulder of the jar. All around the body of the jar are 11 medallions of various shapes with richly detailed scenes from Japanese fables. The jar is 14" tall, 11" wide, 5" wide at neck, and 5.5" wide at base. Pair of early blown glass liquor decanters c 1750. This matched pair of clear glass decanters were each made by being blown into hand carved wooden molds. They retain a fair amount of their original gold leaf which was applied to highlight the top raised design. The stoppers are original and were each hand blown then ground to fit perfectly. They each measure 9.5 inches to the top of their stoppers, 4 inches wide and 3 inches deep. As nice as they look in the pictures we have provided they are even more beautiful when seen in person.
