This "Antique Davenport Caneware Relief Molded Wine Cooler circa 1800 to 1810" measures 7 and one quarter inches in diameter at the rim and is 9 and three quarter inches tall. Caneware is a tan color, unglazed stoneware developed around the year 1770. See mark in "English China and its Marks" by Thos. Ornsby pg. 52. Fabrique Degeneve eight song cylinder music box with nine bells c1870. This beautiful music box play six song and sounds excellent. We just had it cleaned and the original finish waxed. The inlay showing a bird in flight was made from exotic woods, rosewood,boxwood, tulip among others. This music box has its original silver plated key cover stamped S L Marsden 1870.
