| An Anglo Indian carved rosewood and ivory inlaid sewing box, the stepped rectangular top and sides featuring elaborately carved fantastical animals, centering an elephant figure, amid floral and foliate decoration, all bordered by geometric design inlay, the sandlewood interior divided into numerous compartments, some with ivory fittings & additional sewing accoutrements. A removable mirror with inlaid border attaches to the hinged cover. Anglo India, c.1820. Note: Some professional restoration to geometric inlay.
