A Brussels Teniers pastoral tapestry early 18th century
A Brussels Teniers pastoral tapestry, early 18th Century, woven in wool and silk by (Urban and) Daniel Leyniers, loosely based on the work of David Teniers the Younger, depicting a house or tavern with a group of peasants drinking and socializing as a woman pours slop from a window above their heads, and other peasants labor nearby, with more figures working in the distant fields near a windmill, embroidered borders, areas of stress, wear, and fading, rewoven sections, approximately 9 feet by 8 feet 10 inches. The top right light section is from sun light coming in the window when we photographed the piece. Shipping extra. Connecticut residents and buyers picking up in Connecticut add 6% state sales tax.
