| OUTSTANDING RARE Georg Jensen vintage sterling modernistic style necklace designed by Astrid Fog (1911-1993), Denmark, c.1970. Astrid Fog (1911-1993) was a fashion designer/editor who came late to jewelry design. She didn't like what was available, so she designed jewelry to complement her clothes. In the Seventies, she designed silver pieces for Georg Jensen. The years after World War II witnessed a new triumph for the Jensen firm. Designers such as Henning Koppel, Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe, Nanna Ditzel, Astrid Fog, Bent Gabrielsen, and Arno Malinowski brought the company back to the forefront of the international design scene. The necklace is hallmarked “GEORG JENSEN (in dotted circle) 925S DENMARK 122". The necklace is in excellent condition; wear from normal use no abuse. The central silver piece hangs from an 8”chain, the half sphere egg shape pendant is 2”X1& ½”X 5/8” high. Email or call with questions. | ||||||
