This wonderful sterling and mixed metals ring with a beautiful pre-Colombian bead was designed by Antonio Castillo. Antonio Castillo was an apprentice at Las Delicias, William Spratling's silver taller, from 1931 to 1939 when he and his brothers left to form their own company: "Los Castillo". He was a contemporary of Hector Aguilar, Antonio Pineda, Fred Davis and Margot de Taxco was his wife.
The ring is a size 8, the stone on the ring is approximately 9/16" diameter the copper triangle on top including he 1&1/4" long by 5/8" wide at base. The ring is hallmarked 925 with “LOS CASTILLO TAXCO” in a circle. It is in excellent vintage condition, with wear from normal use no abuse. Email or call me with any questions.
