Japanese 21st century thickly glazed Shino ware vase by master artist HAYASHI SHOTARO. He entitled this piece HAKUBA. A member of the prestigious DENTOKOGEIKAI for years, Hayashi has exhibited at major exhibitions throughout Japan. This particular piece was exhibited and originally sold at the 3rd exhibition of his work at the Saikaten Department store in Fujisawa in 2001. Comes with TOMOBAKO, original artist signed wooden storage box. The vase mesures 9" tall, 12" wide and 10" deep.
Japanese 20-21st century Kutani vase by artist Nakata Kazuo. Nakata Kazuo studied under Living National Treasure artist, Tokuda Yasokichi III. He is known for using designs created with strips of silver leaf. He remains active in the Ishikawa Prefecture. His works are on display at the Smithsonian Sackler Museum and the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum, to name a few. This vase measures 9 5/6" tall by 4 3/4" in diameter. Comes with TOMOBAKO, or original artist signed custom wooden storage box.
Japanese 20th century large white celadon vase. The vase has the design of thick white vertical forms that have fine white lines on their tops and bottoms. The thick and thin areas of these vertical forms form a zig-zag design on the top and bottom of the vase. The vase is made by artist, NONAKA TAKU. Signed on bottom of vase. Comes with TOMOBAKO, original artist's wooden storage box. The vase measures 11 3/8" tall and has a diameter of 8 1/2" at the top rim.
