Japanese 20th century bronze vase by WATANABE TADASHI (1924-). This particular piece was an exhibition piece from the 1965 Nitten Exhibiton, or the 8th Nihon Bijutsu Exhibit. The vase measures 14 3/4" tall by 9" wide and 6" deep. The basket comes with TOMOBAKO, or original artist signed wooden storage box.

Japanese circa 1987 (Showa 57) bamboo flower basket by SHIOTSUKI JURAN. SHIOTSUKI JURAN was born in 1948 in Beppu, Japan. He studied basket making at Beppu Higher School of Industrial Training and was apprentice to ICHIHARA KAUNSAI. He lives and works in OITA Prefecture. The basket comes with TOMOBAKO, or original artist signed wooden storage box. The basket measures 8 1/2" wide, 9 1/2" tall and 6 1/2" deep.

Japanese 20th century bronze vase by KIMURA SHOTARO. The artist exhibited numerous times at the Nihon Dento Kogei Ten (including the 5th, 21st and the 27th where he was an award winner) and served as a judge for the exhibition as early as 1967. This vase was selected for the 21st Nihon Dento Kogei Ten in 1974. The vase has a simple verticle pattern with handles done in the shape of woodpeckers. Japanese mid 20th century cloisonne vase by the ANDO cloisonne company. The vase is done in a beautiful single large Dahlia blossom design. The silver toned metal rims appear to be chrome. The vase has the ANDO mark on the bottom. 8 1/4" tall by 9 1/2" in diameter. Wooden storage box.
