Tokuda Yasokichi III became Living National Treasure in 1997 and is recognized for work with Saiyu, glaze color gradation technique. Comes with TOMOBAKO, original artist signed wooden storage box. The vase measures 7" tall and is 5 1/2" wide. The mouth on top measures 4 1/4" across.

Japanese mid 20th century celadon porcelain MIZUSAHI water jar by MIYASHITA ZENJU (1901-1988). MIYASHITA ZENJU not only studied in his home town of Kyoto, but also did research in China and Korea. His works of art were often used by the Japanese Royal Family for presentation pieces. This jar comes with 2 lids, celadon porcelain lid and black lacquer lid. The porcelain lid has a handle done in the realistic shape of bamboo stalk and leaves. The jar measures 7 1/2" tall and 5 3/4" in diameter.
