A Chinese embroidered silk roundel, 17th ~ 19th century. The panel has been created using a variety of stitching techniques and appears to show a celebration of some kind. It is possible that this is an applique that would have been temporarily attached to a garment, in the same fashion as a rank badge, for a particular celebration.

Approximately 32 cm diameter. The panel is partially attached by its edge to a card backing which I suspect could be removed easily...

The silver gilt appliqué depicts a dancing boy beneath an umbrella formed by a giant branch taken from a peach tree. A deer holding a lingzhi in its mouth and a bat with coin tassels accompanies him. The work is very fine, as you would expect from the late Ming period. The appliqué was intended to be sewn to a costume and therefore is quite delicate and light in weight...

A Chinese bronze drum-shaped censer raised on three ruyi feet. Each side is cast with four gamboling lion dogs attracted to a large ribboned pearl of wisdom. The Chinese porcelain dish has a border of two repeating elements, a garlanded ruyi and three interlinked rings. The centre of the dish depicts a Chinese landscape with two scholars approaching a solitary angler. The dish was made for the Japanese where such pieces were used and much appreciated in the tea ceremony, at a time when the Japanese porcelain industry was in its infancy.

The extensive village and river scene has many figures, I counted 20. It has a nice patina and looks ‘dry’ and untouched. I resisted the temptation to oil and then wax polish it but that is something you might consider. 19th century.

Approximately 18 cm high, 15.2 cm across the oval. The pot has some largish age cracks but none that go to the inside...

A Chinese turquoise glazed meiping vase, Kangxi period, late 17th or early 18th century. The vase is thickly glazed with a finely crackled blue glaze. This glaze is more intense in reality than portrayed in my photographs. The neck has been reduced and fitted with a copper collar. The foot-rim is slightly rough as a result of adhering to the kiln support, within the foot the body has been wiped with a clear glaze...

A Chinese grey white jade plaque deeply carved with a dragon and flaming pearl, a bat and magic clouds. This plaque was once part of a set which adorned a belt as can be deduced by the holes and thread channels seen on the back. Yuan or Ming dynasty.

The jade is nicely worn on the front. The rear has a disturbed patina which I suspect might be a result of burial. There are two distinct areas where the surface is matt or cloudy, I have tried to show these in the photographs.

The well-carved bamboo in the form of a peach with gnarled leafy branch. 18Th ~ 19th century.

There are a few old insect holes that have been filled with plaster and coloured, the colouring has mostly gone now but could easily be redone with watercolour paints.
