This boldly decorated dish has been difficult to photograph, the extreme contrast between the thick blue enamel and the white enamel dragons has made it very difficult to show the fine scraffito scales on the dragon bodies, each scale drawn carefully rather than the cross-hatched lines found on later productions. The back is simply decorated with bats and within the foot-rim is a neatly drawn Daoguang (1821~1850) mark.
