Buddha is seated in meditation on a double lotus base. It has a very attractive genuine patina. The surface of the base is formed from an old Japanese mirror. I have seen this recycling of mirrors before, they sometimes are found forming the bases of bronze hibachis.

Approximately 41cm high.

The Buddha has the rectangular location tag found at the rear repaired with resin. The is an old tear in the rim at his left knee, this is stable and does not detract.

The base has some rough areas inside of the rim where I suspect some kind of armature was attached in order to secure the base. The armature is not longer present. In my photograph of the underside of the base an area at 2 o'clock looks like a piece broken out but it is evidence of a correction in the clay maquette before the base was cast

All noted in the photographs.

Please study the photographs.
