Chinese Export En Grisaille Bowls, Qianlong

The bowls decorated “en grisaille”, with a large oval of water buffalo, the inside with a border of scrolling flowers and scallop shells in black enamel. The border derives from European design and perhaps the ovals as well. Chinese porcelain made specifically for export to the West, Qianlong period, circa 1750. Scarce.

I have a teapot and a cup & saucer from this service listed at the moment.

3.1/8” and 3.1/16” diameter. One with a tiny fleabite on the rim, the other has had a very small knock on the rim, this has produced a tiny chip that has not actually fallen out. Please study the photographs
