A good Chinese porcelain bottle in the form of one of the Eight Immortals, Li T’ieh-kuai, carrying a gourd one his back, thus forming the opening. A bottle of the same subject is illustrated in the Bob C. Stevens book. The bottle has much charm.
2.5/8 inches (6.7cm) high. A little wear to the black enamel hair from use, otherwise perfect. Often my bottles have no stoppers, if they come with a tacky replacement then I throw it away. This is no great problem as nice stoppers can be fashioned from hardstone beads with vinyl collars, just look at the books on the great collections; vinyl is a much-used word! I am based in the United Kingdom so charges made to credit cards are in GBP ( British Pounds ) and your credit card issuer automatically converts the charge to the currency of your country. Payment may also be made by direct bank transfer in GBP. International Money Orders or Cashiers’ Checks in GBP are also accepted. |
