This really is not my subject but I was attracted by the imagery of this obviously old painting. It is painted on cloth and I would assume that it has a religious purpose though whether it is Buddhist or Hindu I cannot say. The picture is set within a painted yellow border and depicts a couple seated beneath a bough which supports a third figure asleep in a hammock. The surface of the painting is worn with some loss of pigment especially on two of the corners that have lost all pigment. Inscribed on the back.
