The pipe in the shape of a baluster jar and cover, decorated with bird and blossoms on one side, the other with a beribboned spray of flowers and good luck seals. The lid is permanently held in place by the paktong handle arrangement, featuring bosses in the form of bats. The lid is pierced to accommodate a mixed-metal collar that in turn holds a bone funnel. The body has two inscriptions, probably poetry, and a two-character signature on the base. 19th century.

Approximately 4.1/2 inches (11.4 cm) diameter, 5 inches (12.7 cm) high (with the handle down). In good, original, condition but noting a small area of missed glaze and a minuscule flake on the bottom, partially covered by the metal ring. Please study the photographs.
