| Up for sale is this outstanding Peking glass, cameo carved vase. I purchased this piece almost fourty years ago in Colorado, it was reported to come from the Claude Wampler collection of oriental art, most of which is in a Chicago Museum. This piece dates back to the Ching dynasty. It is 9 3/4" tall and has all of the outstanding qualities of carving and design of the finest of antique Peking glass. I have seen others of this quality years ago in fine shops in San Francisco, the upper rims were as this one is, with out a flair out and down. I have been told that some rims were fuller and flaired and that some were cut down due to minor chips, I have not had this comfirmed and expert opinion has not confirmed that this piece has at any time had damage. I sell it as you see it and when I purchased it I was not informed that it was "ASIS". It is a great piece and there is no apparent damage. | ||
