This beautiful 4 1/2" long Solje is composed of three silver filigree strands and vermeil spoons that dangle from a crown-topped heart measuring 1 1/2" H x 1" W. The extended pin stem is fastened by a simple c-clasp and is tight. In excellent condition, the brooch is signed "830 S" with an unknown maker's mark. This large Solje is a wonderful example of classic Norwegian wedding jewelry.

Dating to the early 1900's, this antique bracelet features the majestic face of a lion accented by two, tiny rubies inset as eyes and another grasped by the mouth. The brass bangle is a lovely example of Art Nouveau detailing as shown by the perforated vines that flow around either side of the lion's protruding head. These two beautiful silver-plated teapots, or coffeepots, are a wonderful return to a gentler time and the understated elegance that's now coming back into vogue. In excellent, vintage condition, each vessel is the identical pattern and produced by the American manufacturer, Birmingham Silver Company, which was based in Yalesville, CT. This finely crafted basket is an old example of the work of the Native American Siletz tribe, who originally lived on the northwest coast from northern California to southern Washington. The basket is made from hazel sticks, spruce root and bear grass. Dating to the 1960s, this set is remarkable in its design and lush use of glaze. With hints of cobalt, rich color combinations appear in ambers and earthy greens in a shiny elegance that seems to change with the light. The cup measures 2 1/4"H x 3"W; the saucer is 5 3/4" W.
