This beautiful 4 1/2" long Solje is composed of three silver filigree strands and vermeil spoons that dangle from a crown-topped heart measuring 1 1/2" H x 1" W. The extended pin stem is fastened by a simple c-clasp and is tight. In excellent condition, the brooch is signed "830 S" with an unknown maker's mark. This large Solje is a wonderful example of classic Norwegian wedding jewelry.

Dating to the early 1900's, this antique bracelet features the majestic face of a lion accented by two, tiny rubies inset as eyes and another grasped by the mouth. The brass bangle is a lovely example of Art Nouveau detailing as shown by the perforated vines that flow around either side of the lion's protruding head.
