This lovely necklace set is a remarkable example of why the color green is associated with envy! Designed by Ian St. Gielar (1953-2007), it displays an architectural elegance in the mixed use of materials, which drape perfectly over the neckline and adorn the ears. The three-strand glass necklace features avocado green (almost black) faceted, round beads separated by lighter green rhondells. The central floral medallion is a mass of molded glass flowers, seed bead leaves, an over-sized cabochon and prong-set rhinestones in lush shades of green. Artful and elegant, the design's glass elements are elaborately layered and hand-wired to a gilded, filigree plaque. This gorgeous suite is destined for a special evening, and those who love to wear or collect objet d' art. Very good condition. Necklace: 16" plus 3" extension; medallion: 3 3/4" W x 3 1/4" L.
