Rare intact early 17th Century Dutch oil lamp

A fully intact early 17th century Dutch earthenware oil lamp. Red-firing clay with lead glaze. Manufactured in the Northern Netherlands, circa 1620 -1640. Height: 11.7 cm. Max. diameter of lower dish: 14.8 cm. Only a few tiny old chips to the backside of the rim of the lower dish, otherwise in fabulous intact condition without any restorations. A rare and finest example of an early Dutch earthenware oil lamp used in the average household during the hay day of the Dutch Golden Age!
