| Bold, dramatic vintage Mexican silver necklace by Abraham Paz. Hand cut and sculpted (with the use of repousse like technique) shields are interspersed with large, circular pieces into which are set four cabochons of onyx and one central cabochon of beautiful, richly colored obsidian. A remarkable and rare piece. Exceptionally well made in every aspect including marvelous attention to detail such as the hand made jump links --- wider than usual formed of three bands of silver, molded together. Measures 18" long and approximately 1 1/4" wide (at widest point.) In very good vintage condition. Hallmarked with AP initials, Mexico, Silver, and Eagle Number 22. (Leading one to consider the possibility that this is indeed an unmarked Fred Davis piece.) A dramatic, bold and beautiful example of vintage Mexican silver. | ||||||||||||||
