Rare Vintage Mexican Silver Demi-Parure by Los Castillo
Quite rare and unusual vintage Mexican silver demi-parure by Los Castillo. Consisting of the matching necklace and bracelet, this ca. 1950s incorporates the 'bullseye' motif that is seen frequently in the earliest of Los Castillo earrings. Perhaps also influenced by the work and designs coming out of the Taller of Maestro Antonio Pineda, the necklace features three cascabeles of a perhaps more modern aesthetic. The cascabeles come down off a central necklace that wraps perfectly around the neck. When worn all pieces are quite comfortable and flattering. Both the bracelet and necklace are fully and correctly hallmarked for Los Castillo. Measurements on the necklace are approximately 16 1/4" long. The bracelet measures 6 1/2" by 1/2". A very rare and wonderful Los Castillo demi-parure.
