| Pair of vintage Mexican gold leaf angel wings. Beautiful carved wood finished in traditional estafada and gold leaf, ca. 1800s-1940s. Finely carving implies the presence of layers and layers of appropriately lavish feathering in this pair of lovely wings. Two hand lathed pieces of wood secured with hand made nails with irregular shape to heads. In very good condition with cracking throughout, some signs of early renovation and conservation. One pair of wings has lost the outside edges of the wings in two areas as shown. The wings measure 11 1/2" across the widest part by 7" tall. The mounts stand the pieces at 6 3/4" and 7 1/4" high.
