Measuring just under 11" high, on a base 8" x 6", this yellow ware spaniel is decorated with a rich brown glaze, and is a 19th century form made by both Bennington in the US, and Rockingham in Great Britain. Similar in style to the Staffordshire figures, which are lighter in weight and usually glazed in white and rust colors, this pooch is of heavy earthenware. Much of the furry coat is depicted, along with a collar bearing a lock...

Measuring 3 1/4" high and 3" wide at the base, this porcelain pug sits upon a grassy hammock, and wears a rust-red collar with a metal loop. He has a very dark face, with dark strip down his back, and gazes up with that cute pug expression. There is a mark on the base that appears to be a crown over the letters A and F, but the mark appears to be spurious, as the area around the mark has been altered...

Painted in bright enamel colors, with fine detail, this French faience mandolin is signed in a conjoined monogram on the base, and appears to be either Emile or Charles Fourmaintraux, well known artists working at Desvres, and Rouen in the late 19th century. The mandolin has a built in base, enabling it to stand, and has holes in fret and head so that it could actually be strung...

Made by the Minton Pottery Company in England, and dated 1902, this classic Secessionist vase measures 7 7/8" high and is roughly 5" in diameter. It is decorated with tube lining designs in black and green, over a beautiful blue, varying in hues from a dark turquoise to cobalt, to a deep blue that has purplish tones. The glaze flows over a ridged body that accentuates the range of blue coloration. It is stamped "Mintons" on the base, along with the date mark "2", a K and another mark...
