This group of antique Chinese Peking glass snuff bottles are made to depict stone and amber, with details, texture, and inclusions that are beautifully realistic. Of large size, this Huanghuali root or burl Scholars object features an interior bowl shaped area, which is most likely a brush washer. It measures 14" in length, 8 3/4" wide, and is 5" high, and has a darkened and soft patina. These two Georgian round base, baluster stem candlesticks match perfectly, and were obviously made by the same hand, with one being signed with spurious hallmarks. Of paktong, they have a very satiny surface with a very slight yellowish hue.
