Measuring 2" in diameter, this snuff box consists of burl wood with an inset section of tortoise shell, and features a portrait under a curved glass and brass frame. The portrait appears to be on paper, in the form of a silhouette upon a black background. In good condition, the burl has a rich deep patina, and the tortoise shell is intact, no chips or cracks. Great Britain or Continental, early nineteenth century in origin.

Of small and nicely shaped form, this whale oil lamp measures 4 3/4" high, with the drip pan measuring 3 1/2" in diameter. Nicely turned, bulbous font, with stem attached to base with screw, and handle is cast and attached with two rivets. Missing the burner, it is in otherwise good condition, some verdigris on the font, with older patina to surface.

Measuring 10" high, with square bases measuring just over 4", with scalloped corners, this pair of 19th century Russian candlesticks have robust turnings and are cast in two pieces, the turned stem visible from the bottom. Very heavy, weighing 7 pounds, they retain a nice soft patina, with verdigris visible on the bases. There is some slight variation in the turnings of this pair, and the lip of one of the sticks is slightly thicker than the other, visible in photos...

Measuring 6 7/8", this lovely candlestick is artfully cast, with bold turnings and a fine base of petal form. It was cast in two pieces, with a visible seam, and the base was carefully cleaned of excess brass. It does not sit perfectly flat, as can be seen in one of the photos, where a slight stress fracture is visible. In as found condition, it retains a soft patina. English, it dates to the mid 18th century is is a very nice example of fine metalwork of the era.

Measuring 9" high, this pair of Brass candlesticks have a "beehive" circular shaft upon an octagonal base, with bold turnings below a flared candle cup. Dating to the mid 19th century, they are of English origin, and were common in the US during this era. The button on one of the push up shafts is missing, as shown in the photos of bottoms. Both are in good condition, no dents or damage, and both have a soft, glossy patina.

Of nice size and proportions, this bell metal candlestick features a saucer base, with a stem of simple turnings and tapered form. It measures 8 7/8" high, the base is 5 1/2" in diameter, and the stem screws into the base. In fine condition, with a nice rosy patina, this stick is a fine example of Queen Anne simplicity and elegance, and has a clear ring when struck. This simple, but lovely chamber stick is Spanish, dating to the late 18th or early 19th century, and is made in two sections, which are joined with brass pegs and soldered. The stem is mounted to the drip pan with a screw, and the handle has a nicely cut out opening for hanging when not in use. It measures 3 3/4" high, the drip pan is 4 7/8" in diameter, and the handle is 6 1/4" from the lip of the drip pan...

Ca. 1780, this brass chamber stick is Spanish in origin, and the handle was cast with the drip pan and the stem was attached to the pan a with screw. Measuring 3 3/4" high, the drip pan is 4 3/4" in diameter, and the handle is 5 3/8" from top of drip pan. In good condition, with minor dents to lip of candle holder, and slight indentation to lip of drip pan. See photos for details, evidence of hand work, patina, etc.
