Measuring 6 3/4" in diameter and just a tad under 3" deep, this Chinese Export bowl is nicely decorated with an overglaze blue band of triangles forming a diamond with a rose in each one. Additional roses adorn the sides and center, and the rim has a brownish yellow lip, with a red line below the rim on the interior. The body has a slight grey-blue tint, and the underglaze decoration is all done in a clear blue. Measuring 5 1/8" high and 3 3/8" diameter on at top, and 4 1/4" at widest point, this cloisonne lidded box or jar was likely a tea caddy or tobacco box. This seated figure, a Lohan or Scholar, is very nicely modeled, with good detail and form. It measures 3 3/8" high x 2 5/8" wide and is covered in a soft turquoise colored glaze, which is translucent, and varied in intensity of color, being deeper colored where the glaze has pooled. there are very tiny dark spots apparent in the glaze, some more visible on back and shoulders...

Measuring 8 1/2" high, and roughly the same diameter, this Neolithic jar is well decorated in geometric patterns in both black and deep red pigments.
