In a form similar to the slab figures from the Quimbaya culture of Colombia, South America, this seated female figure has rounded limbs, slit eyes and mouth, and the typical prominent nose. It measures 8" high, is roughly 7 1/2" wide, and retains much of the original burnished red surface. Some minor losses to glaze are evident, along with a good deal of mineral deposits on the surface...

In excellent condition, this seated Chorrera figure measures 8 1/2" high, 5" wide, and 4 1/4" deep. It features a red helmet-like headdress, incised decoration around the torso, and large ear ornaments. The eyes are typically puffy with slits, and the nose is prominent and curved. The body is burnished, with both red and buff pigments, and there is a large hole in the back of the headdress...

Of good size, this pre-columbian Nayarit figure measures 12" high, 7 1/4" wide, and 6" deep. The seated figure has hands on extended and shortened legs, and shows the ritual cicatrice tattoos on the shoulders, as well as ear spools. In very fine condition, there is a small loss on the rear hair piece, but no other damage other than some rubbing to the surface...
