This matching pair of Qing vases date to the 19th century, though they have Kangxi marks in red on both bases. They are constructed of hand made porcelain slabs, so are slightly different in size, measuring roughly 8 1/4" high, and between 3 1/8" and 3 1/4" square. Dating to the 18th century, possibly earlier, this bronze seal depicts a chilong or dragon seated upon a pedestal table, it's tail curled,and mouth open with a fierce expression. The seal measures 2" wide, 1 5/8" deep, and 1 3/4" high. The patina is very dark, with evidence of verdigris on the surface and on the seal face. Of deeply colored boxwood, with some figure in the wood, this netsuke is beautifully carved, with fine detail to face and clothing. It depicts a bearded figure, likely a sage, clad in flowing robes, holding a bowl aloft. The figure measures 2" high, and is in excellent condition, with a deep rich patina, and has signature on base (not completely legible, but one character is formed like a Z). Of large size (13 1/4"), this Rose Mandarin vase is well decorated with the traditional raised enamel colors of green, pink, orange, yellow, blue, black, with gilt decoration on the raised Chilong figures and in background areas. With heavy cut foot, the vase is in very good condition, no chips or cracks, just wear to the gilding on the figures. The interior shows ribbing from being thrown, and there are minor pitting spots in the glaze, typical of wares of the era.

With exceptionally fine detail, this bronze Quan Yin holds the traditional water bottle, surrounded by a Mandorla covered with foliate and wave motifs. The sculpture is 7 1/2" high, on a round base 2 1/4" in diameter. The patina is dark, with some rubbing to back and base where it appears to have been lightly cleaned, and there is some verdigris on the surface. The face and clothing are quite lovely, creating a serene and ethereal sculpture.

On three applied feet, this perfectly thrown bowl is decorated in Oribe style, with cream slip over a darker body, decorated with brown crosshatching on the interior,symbols on the edges, and thick green glaze on two sides. Beautifully thrown and decorated, this Oribe bowl measures 8 1/2" (slightly out of round, one side measures 8 1/4") by 3" high. It is signed in an oval cartouche on the base, and has a heavy deep green drip glaze applied to two sides, with delicately painted underglaze branches of plum blossoms between.
