Modeled with blackware clay, this seated figure depicts a man with folded arms, a cape, and wearing a four cornered pointed hat. It measures 6 3/4" to the top of the spout, which has losses to the rim, visible in photos. The vessel is intact, and retains some remnants of soil from burial, and has visible lines on surface from age, and one small section on left side of head where a tiny chip has occurred. This nicely beaded pouch is comprised of natural muslin or linen, black velvet, and red trade cloth, with beads of various colors covering much of the cloth with a rich floral design. Red ribbons are attached as a handle and additional adornment, with sequins and larger white and clear beads adding another element of design.
