Lovely form, this bronze koro sits upon three canted feet, with leaves on both ends attached to stems that form curved ends over the body. The lid is another leaf shape, with the stem as handle. The koro measures 6 1/4" x approximately 4 1/2" and is unsigned. The patina is a nice rich brown, lighter where handled on the body, and has no cracks or dents, just slight marks from usage. Like so much of fine Japanese metal work, the koro is elegant and aesthetic in its refined simplicity.
