Of heavy cast silver, this brooch by the BeauRing Silver company is one of the finest designs by this small company that produced fine silver and platinum jewelry in the 1930's and 1940's. Of wonderful swirling design, this large clamper bracelet was made by Alfredo Villasana, working in Taxco Mexico, 1950's. Villasana was a very talented designer and silversmith, who worked initially with both William Spratling and Hector Aguilar before opening his workshop. From the top of one swirl, to the bottom of the other, the bracelet measures 3", and has a nice tight spring that holds it closed properly...

This beautiful clamper bracelet was created by Alfredo Villasana, who initially worked with both Spratling and Aguilar before opening his own workshop in Taxco, Mexico. The bracelet is large, measuring 2 1/2" deep, and has a strong hinge, keeping it tightly closed. It is stamped on the interior with Villasana's logo, an AV surrounded by "Taxco Hecho en Mexico", as well as "Villasana, Sterling, 925", and an eagle mark with the letter 3, dating it to the period of 1955-1960...

Of unusual form, possibly one of a kind, this necklace is comprised of silver and green stone beads (the round beads appear to be aventurine, the others are a mottled dark green/blue color) with a loop clasp. The large silver pendant is Pre-Columbian in design, depicting a jaguar figure with double snake headed tails. The four feet of the figure form loops, and there is also a large loop which attaches the pendant to the necklace...

In sterling silver, by the Otis Jewelry Company, this rectangular brooch depicts four blossoms or buds over an open work foliate background, and measures slightly under 2" by 1", weighs 8 pennyweights and has a C clasp with safety catch. Lovely arts and crafts design, with fuschia like flowers and a lovely soft patina, the brooch is typical of design of the early 20th century, made famous by jewelers like George Jensen, and Kalo Silver,among many others.

Set in vermeil silver, with Birmingham hallmarks for sterling, this black basalt medallion features the "Horse Startled by Lion" black basalt Wedgwood plaque, this one slightly less detailed than original, and smaller. The pendant measures 1 1/4" x 1 1/8" and is in excellent condition, no breaks or losses, and the vermeil is also intact, with a soft gold luster. The date letter is not clear, but it is likely from the era 1900- 1920...

Silver vermeil filigree surrounds a deeply colored coral cabochon, on this nicely detailed brooch, with a hallmark indicating Genoa, Italy. It is stamped "800" along with GE and what appears to be the numbers "111". It measures 1 3/4' by 1 3/8" and has a tubular clasp. There is some wear to the gold on the top of the brooch, visible on the raised beads, but the rest of the brooch is bright and in excellent condition.

An early silver brooch from Taxco, Mexico, this piece is stamped "980 Taxco' and has a simple wire and C closure. It measures 2 1/2' wide and 1" deep and is set with an oval turquoise stone. Good condition, some tarnish on silver and some bends in the wire clasp, it is a nice example of early 20th century Taxco silver design.
