Mounted on a dark wood base, this bronze figure of a Neo-classical figure is likely a Grand Tour souvenir, measuring 15 1/4" including the base, which is 2". The figure is nicely cast, with good detail in the features and the flowing robe. The surface is worn, and much of the original gilt is missing, with darker patina over much of the surface. Created of twisted wire, with a black coating over the figure and an orange parasol, this sculpture is Signed "Bert Schwartz, '66 and is mounted on a marble cube. It measures 18" high, including base, and depicts a woman carefully balancing herself, with one arm holding an umbrella and the other outstretched.
