Of nice size and proportions, this bell metal candlestick features a saucer base, with a stem of simple turnings and tapered form. It measures 8 7/8" high, the base is 5 1/2" in diameter, and the stem screws into the base. In fine condition, with a nice rosy patina, this stick is a fine example of Queen Anne simplicity and elegance, and has a clear ring when struck. This simple, but lovely chamber stick is Spanish, dating to the late 18th or early 19th century, and is made in two sections, which are joined with brass pegs and soldered. The stem is mounted to the drip pan with a screw, and the handle has a nicely cut out opening for hanging when not in use. It measures 3 3/4" high, the drip pan is 4 7/8" in diameter, and the handle is 6 1/4" from the lip of the drip pan...

Ca. 1780, this brass chamber stick is Spanish in origin, and the handle was cast with the drip pan and the stem was attached to the pan a with screw. Measuring 3 3/4" high, the drip pan is 4 3/4" in diameter, and the handle is 5 3/8" from top of drip pan. In good condition, with minor dents to lip of candle holder, and slight indentation to lip of drip pan. See photos for details, evidence of hand work, patina, etc.
