Ca. 1780, this brass chamber stick is Spanish in origin, and the handle was cast with the drip pan and the stem was attached to the pan a with screw. Measuring 3 3/4" high, the drip pan is 4 3/4" in diameter, and the handle is 5 3/8" from top of drip pan. In good condition, with minor dents to lip of candle holder, and slight indentation to lip of drip pan. See photos for details, evidence of hand work, patina, etc.

An original Polish Movie Poster, from the film "In the Heat of the Night" (W Upalna Noc), starring Sidney Poitier, 1976, this image was designed by Marian Stachurski. Measuring 32 1/4' by 23", in good condition, with a tear along the upper right side, extending into the poster about an inch (visible in photo), so is being sold "AS IS". Poster has never been folded, just stored rolled with other posters.

An early silver brooch from Taxco, Mexico, this piece is stamped "980 Taxco' and has a simple wire and C closure. It measures 2 1/2' wide and 1" deep and is set with an oval turquoise stone. Good condition, some tarnish on silver and some bends in the wire clasp, it is a nice example of early 20th century Taxco silver design.

Measuring 10 3/4" high and 4 1/2" in diameter at the base, this elegant cut crystal candlestick features a triangular, obelisk stem, with horizontal and x shaped cutting on the edges that create a lovely pattern through the flat surfaces on the opposite side. Of high quality cut crystal, this candlestick features an interior tear drop in a hexagonal stem which continues into the top. Each edge of the stem is cut in alternating ovals and diamonds, and the base is cut with an elaborate star pattern. Unsigned, it measures 9 1/4" high, and the base is 4 1/2" in diameter. Oil on stretched canvas, with oval gilt wood liner, this portrait of a young blonde girl is beautifully painted. She holds a bouquet of flowers, and in the background there are subtly painted foliate elements. The sight size of the oval is 23" x 19", the stretcher measures 27" x 20", and the liner is slightly larger. The surface shows craquelure with some minor flaking, and appears to need cleaning of darkened varnish, particularly in the background...
