Of wonderful size and weight, this nicely cut ice bucket is of the American Brilliant Cut period, and is very high quality. It measures 8" high, 8 5/8" in diameter, and weighs 8 3/4 pounds, and the glass is 1/4" thick at the lip. The sides have large sunburst designs with crosshatched centers, alternating with elaborately cut panels, and the bottom is a large crisscrossed star design. There is considerable wear to the bottom (any signature would have been erased), and some minor abrasions to inside, with a few very tiny flecks on the lip, but is in generally very fine condition. It is large enough to make a fine punch bowl for summer garden parties, and would always work as a champagne or ice bucket.
