| Carved of dense and deep caramel colored boxwood, this Chinese figure holds a scroll and a long staff, with symbols of Taoism and longevity on the scroll and clothing. The draped robes and facial features are skillfully carved, and the bearded figure bends slightly forward, as though engaging someone in conversation. Measuring 8 3/4" high, the figure has a rich satiny patina, and is in excellent condition, with no losses or cracks. | ||
