| Of exceptional quality, with finely decorated, highly raised enamel on copper, this well formed and symmetrical bowl measures 4 1/2" in diameter, and is slightly under 3" high. Middle Eastern, Islamic, it dates to the 19th century, and features arabesque designs in turquoise, blue, white, pink and green over hand hammered and pieced copper. The detail work on the enamel is very refined, as the turquoise color is laid over a dark matte enamel in additional arabesque forms, shown in photos. Excellent condition, some bubbles in enamel from firing. | ||
