| Consisting of of four panels of various Japanese landscapes, including Mt. Fuji, this table screen is finely executed in silver and 24 karat gold, set into gilded brass panels. The lower portions of the screen all contain a foliate designs of leaves, vines, and fruit, also in gold and silver. The screen measures 3 7/8" by 7 1/2" and is in excellent condition. It appears that there is some lacquer or other surface material on the gilded brass sections of the screen, visible in photos. It is unsigned, with a K24 inlaid gold mark on the second panel. This is a fine example of the marvelous multi metal work of the Meiji era. | ||
