|This bronze medallion is signed by Therese Dufresne, and is dated on the side 1979, with an impressed figure and "Br Flor", most likely referring to the foundry. It is 3 1/4" in diameter, 1/2" thick, and weighs a hefty 17 ounces. One side depicts numerous buildings and skyscrapers, including the Chrysler Building, the Arch at Washington Square, what appears to be one of the World Trade Center towers, and possibly other identifiable buildings. Some of the structures in the foreground seem to have lettering on them, but none of it is clear enough to decipher. The back side depicts an elaborate series of highways and interchanges over more buildings, structures, and park like spots. The details on each side are in high relief, and have an interesting angles and facets. The surface is very bright in some areas, so it was probably gilded, with some wear to the surface and darkening in areas. Good design, with an interesting array of structures, it is a fine little view of New York neighborhoods and locales.|
