One of the most desirable of Hattie Carnegie's fine and whimsical designs, this figure depicts an Aztec Warrior, holding scepters, and adorned with a headress, necklace, ear adornments, and reeded skirt.
It measures 2 1/4" high, by 1 3/4" wide, and is marked on the back with her signature. In good condition, all the rhinestones are intact and bright, and the lucite stones that imitate jade and coral are also intact and unmarred. The safety clasp works perfectly. There appears to be some slight wear to the gold metal surface on the left hand of the figure, as it is not as shiny and bright as the rest of the scepter. This brooch is one of her finest, and is featured in the book "Hattie Carnegie Jewelry: Her Life and Legacy".
