Modeled with blackware clay, this seated figure depicts a man with folded arms, a cape, and wearing a four cornered pointed hat. It measures 6 3/4" to the top of the spout, which has losses to the rim, visible in photos. The vessel is intact, and retains some remnants of soil from burial, and has visible lines on surface from age, and one small section on left side of head where a tiny chip has occurred. Moche Culture, ca 500-700 AD. Acquired from private collection, which was assembled prior to 1980. Additional photos always available.
