Here is a sweet Victorian pin with the cross, anchor, and heart, the symbols for faith, hope and charity. It has really nice detail work in the metal. Unmarked, but it seems to be made of a layer of gold on top of a layer of copper (we’re sure about the gold). The center of the heart is set with a (faux?) seed pearl, and the cross is set with 11 tiny turquoise-colored cabs – they are too tiny for a definite ID. It measures 1-3/16 x 7/8"...

Here is a lovely ring in the style of the Art Deco era. It has a central bezel-set diamond, with 8 calibre-cut rubies and 14 single-cut accent diamonds, all set in platinum. The shank is 18kt (tested) yellow gold. It has been sized to fit a 6-1/2 finger. The hallmarks are faded, but are probably for London, 1962-63. The photos are part of the description. Please examine them carefully. Thanks!

What a sweet necklace! Pansies have been equated with thoughtfulness, free thinking, and deep contemplation. Thus Shakespeare’s Ophelia said "There's pansies, that's for thoughts." This little pansy is made from (tested) 10k gold, with a modern-looking 14k bale, probably a later addition. The enamel shades from dark yellow through to white, with some dark details, and a (cultured?) pearl center. It measures 1/2” x 1/2”, and the chain is 16’-1/2” and is marked 14k...

This lovely navette-shaped pin or brooch from the Arts & Crafts era measures 2-1/4 x 3/8”. It has a leaf and berries design, centered by a blister pearl of an intriguing shape. It is marked STERLING, and the pin-stem assembly is original. We have not cleaned it, so it has a nice patina and a little bit of tarnish. In excellent condition, and circa 1900. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.

flourishes, some set with seed pearls. It is gold filled, and measures 1-1/8” x 7/8”. Her nose and chin show some wear, and the metal could use brightening up a bit. The pin stem assembly is mounted in a somewhat unusual fashion – please see photos. Circa 1900. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully. Thanks! This lovely orchid was made from a richly-colored, unmarked but tested, 10kt yellow gold. It has amazing details, an Old European Cut diamond (etw .30 - .35), and a fan pearl. Weighing in at 2.6g, it measures 1” by about 7/8”, is quite dimensional, and SO Art Nouveau! It is unmarked, but we believe it was made in Newark, NJ...

Here is a very pretty starburst pin/necklace, made from 14k gold (marked and tested), set with seed pearls, and with an old European cut diamond in the center. It has a maker’s mark in the shape of a Maltese cross. Measuring 1-1/8”, it weighs 6g. The bail folds down nicely for wearing as a necklace. The 18” chain is gold filled, and not original to the piece. It comes with an antique dark blue velvet box. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully...

Here is a sky-blue enamel pendant with blue enamel dropper. It tests as silver, most likely Sterling. It has two shades of light blue enamel on the front, highlighted by silver flourishes and dots. The dropper is also enameled in shaded hues of blue. The enamel continues on the back in sky blue – so lovely! Excluding the bale, it is 1-1/2” long by just under 3/4” across...

Here is a set composed of cufflinks made from 2 large oval (3/4” x 1/2”) peacock glass cabs set in textured circles of gold-toned metal measuring just under 1” across, and a tie tack made from a smaller cab (3/8” x 1/4”), also set in gold-toned metal. The set was probably made in the 1950s or ‘60s, although the peacock glass itself is probably from the early 20th C. Unmarked and in excellent condition...

Here is a lovely French lavalier, measuring 1-1/8” (not including the jump ring) by 11/16”. It features 3 rose cut diamonds and 3 (cultured?) pearls. Marked only “DEPOSE”, it tests as 18k. The stones are set in white metal, but it’s hard to tell what kind – probably either gold or platinum. 2.1g. We believe this used to be a part of a larger piece, however, the transformation was done very skillfully, and it is in overall very good condition...

This simple yet elegant gold washed lavalier evokes both the Nouveau and the Deco eras with its design. It measures 1-3/8” without the bale, and 1/2” at the widest point. It features 3 dark purple stones, which may be glass – we couldn’t identify them with certainty. The top stone’s facets are somewhat abraded, and there is wear to the metal. Circa 1920. The photos are part of the description, so please examine them with care...

This elegant lady is made from 14k gold – there is a partial mark, so we tested it. Her face is framed by a stylized shell motif, and she has flowers and a diamond in her upswept hair, as well as another diamond nestled in her décolletage. This watch pin or brooch is of hollow construction, and weighs 4.7g. It measures 1” x 1-1/4”. The pin stem assembly is original. Her face is a little worn in the high places, and the back has darkened in a couple places. Also on the back there is a scra...

Here is a pair of highly unusual cuff links! We have only seen one other pair with photos, and those were in base metal. Each has a photograph of an elegant lady in a white high-necked blouse with upswept hair. These were clearly worn a lot, based on the patina, but they still look great. The 10k marks are on the back of the fronts only, not on the “torpedo” ends, and we don’t like to test torpedoes, so can’t promise that they are also 10k. The fronts measure 7/8” x 5/8”, the torpedo...

This striking jewel tests as at least 14k. It is set with what we believe is an iolite, and 4 pear-shaped purple garnets, all foiled, all set within an Etruscan Revival motif of coiling decorated gold ropes and leaves. It is graced with two gold dangling chains. The brooch measures 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 x 3/4" deep and weighs 8.7g. With the chains, the whole piece measure 2-1/2” long. The pin stem assembly appears to be all original. There is one tiny hole in the gold, which is not visible from the fr...

This is a classic Victorian pin/necklace in a pinwheel design, with 9 lovely bright dark purple garnet and glass doublets (standing in for amethysts, probably at a time when real amethysts were very rare and expensive), and lots of seed pearls. It has both a pin stem assembly for use as a brooch, and a ring for a chain. Hallmarked 10k on the clasp. There is a small break in the gold framework, which doesn’t endanger the piece at all, and isn’t noticeable without magnification; otherwise in e...
