This elegant sterling silver fancy-link chain from the era of the Titanic (but possibly as late as the Art Deco period – Downton Abbey!), is interesting enough to be worn on its own, or you could hang a pendant or watch from it. The clasp is stamped “Sterling”. It measures 26”, and the links are 1/4” or 4mm wide at the widest point. It weighs 5.6g, and is in excellent condition. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully...

So much symbolism in this pretty jewel! It depicts a crescent moon – symbol of the female principal, intuition and new beginnings; an arrow – symbol of swiftness (think: Katniss Everdeen), Sagittarius, and sexual attraction (Cupid’s bow); and a 5-pointed star, symbolic of so many things we won’t even start! It is set with 11 turquoises (birthstone for December, believed to be good for healing and focus) and one seed pearl. It tests as 14k (rose) gold...

This gorgeous stick pin features an amethyst measuring 7/16” x 5/16", in a rounded-off diamond-shaped setting made from a warm 14k gold (marked and tested). The setting measures 9/16” x 1/2” and the whole thing is 2-11/16” long. It weighs 2.7g. Circa 1900 and in excellent condition. AMETHYSTS are thought to be spiritual stones, aiding in meditation; also good for curing headaches. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully...

According to some, this is St. Catherine, patroness of young maidens and female scholars. There is a (“Catherine”?) wheel in the background (it could also be a spinning wheel or a ship's wheel), and a flower in the foreground. Her clothing looks very Renaissance to us. Marked “SILVER” on the C-clasp, with an illegible maker’s mark, the metal tests as sterling, and she’s a dainty 7/8” in diameter. 2.5g. In excellent condition, and circa 1850...

This pretty ring is composed of a cluster of 7 amethysts, birthstone for February (and historically thought to guard against drunkenness and poison), and on either side of the cluster, a bezel-set accent diamond (of about I clarity) and one tiny half seed pearl. The ring is approximately size 6-1/2, and would be easy to re-size. Marked 10K and signed ECI. In excellent condition, with just a bit of patina. The gold is yellow, despite looking rosy in the photos...

Here is a pretty plique a jour stylized moth, most likely German or Austrian in origin. The body has 4 colorless paste stones, and there is an emerald green paste stone in the tail. The plique shades from green to white to peach. 1-1/2” by 3/4”, and stamped “800” on the back. It is in excellent antique condition and circa 1900. Simple, classic, and lovely, this stick pin features an oval of pale pink “angel skin” coral, measuring 9/16” x 3/8”. The whole thing is 2-7/8” long. Unmarked, it tests as 14k gold. The setting has a waving edge, and cut outs to reveal the coral along the sides. Pink coral is said to restore harmony to the heart. It weighs 3.0g. The pin is a little bent, otherwise in excellent condition and circa 1910. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully...

Swirling flowers and a bud highlight this mixed-metal sash buckle. The silver plate shows some wear - yellow metal shows through at some of the high points. We believe the gold to be about 9kt, and it’s also a plating of some type. The buckle measures 3 x 2-1/2" and weighs in at 47.5 grams. Unmarked. In overall very good condition, except for the few worn spots already mentioned; the gold might be a little worn in a few places too – it’s difficult to tell because of the texturing...

Here is a cheerful bow brooch, made from blue and turquoise plique a jour with twisted wire work running through it. The colors in the photographs may be deceptive, depending on your computer monitor - the enamel over the wire spirals is turquoise, and the rest is a medium blue. Measuring 1-1/4” x 7/8", it weighs 3.1g...

Here is a beautiful Victorian cameo, set in flourishes of yellow gold and decorated with 4 pearls. The background is a slightly darker pink than the lady herself. The attention to detail in the carving is nice, and she is in very good condition. There is one missing pearl, but it’s unnoticeable. It seems to say “SIG” in script across the back. The bail is signed with “10K” inside what looks like a stylized “C”. It measures 1-13/16” not including the bail, by 1”. Ask for the bla...

We love this pin! The colors are so pretty, and the leafy design is so very Arts & Crafts. It consists of a berry and leaf motif, highlighted by a central cushion-cut blue chalcedony (thought to bring good luck), with a circular green aventurine on either side. Measuring 1-1/4” x 3/8", it is unmarked but tests as silver. It is in excellent condition, although the pin is a little bent. The pin stem assembly may be a replacement, but if so, it’s quite an old repair. Circa 1900. The photos are ...

Here is a very pretty pin or brooch from the Edwardian era. Brought to Europe by the Crusaders from St. John’s Island (Zabargard), peridot is the August birthstone, and is considered to be a stone of healing and protection. This round peridot is framed by an oval of seed pearls, set into a delicate arabesque of gold with still more seed pearls, for a total of 30 (2 are replacements). Stamped 14k on the back, with an illegible maker’s mark, it measures 1-½” x 7/16" and weighs 2.0g. The per...

Here is a sky-blue enamel pendant with blue enamel dropper. It tests as silver, most likely sterling. It has two shades of light blue enamel on the front, highlighted by silver flourishes. The dropper is also enameled in shaded hues of blue. The enamel continues on the back in sky blue – so lovely! Excluding the bale, it is 1-1/2” long by just under 3/4” across. There are two tiny areas of enamel damage on the back, and a few areas that could use some cleaning, but otherwise it is in excel...

This is a lovely French lavalier, measuring 1-1/8” (not including the jump ring) by 11/16”. It features 3 rose cut diamonds and 3 (cultured?) pearls. Marked only “DEPOSE”, it tests as 18k. The stones are set in white metal, but it’s hard to tell what kind – most likely either gold or platinum. 2.1g. We believe this used to be part of a larger piece, however, the transformation was done very skillfully, and it is in overall very good condition. There is a small dent on the upper right...

Here is a pretty gypsy ring, made from a rich yellow 18 kt gold. The center stone is a diamond, the 2 outer stones are rubies. It has decorative scroll work carving on the shoulders. The hallmarks are for Chester, 1903, and there is a maker’s mark that we can’t decipher. It weighs 4.0g, and is approximately a size 5. The shank is a little off round, and it may have been sized at some time, but it is in excellent condition. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully...

These 10kt yellow gold cuff links sport an ivy motif – one of our favorites! Ivy is symbolic of growth, marriage, and friendship. The decorated ends measure 3/4” x 1/2”, and they weigh 3.2g. Unmarked, they test at 10k, and we believe them to be from the Art Nouveau period. In excellent condition, and really lovely. The photos are part of the description so please examine them carefully. These elegant 14 k gold earrings are set with five round garnets each. The bezel settings have closed backs. Hidden quality is present here. Just as having elegant detail in a garment to give the wearer an extra feeling of wonderful, these earrings have delicately patterned backs that show only on close inspection. Beautiful! (Picture 5) The earrings are Georgian in age (pre 1837) and are 3/4" long. Gotta love the workmanship!
