This signed and hallmarked watch pin is really sweet! It is centered by a tiny pink enameled flower with a pearl center, and is surrounded by stylized green enameled leaves and a framework of gold. It measures 1-1/4 x 1/4". The whole thing is in excellent condition, and circa 1910. Please read this description and look at the photos very carefully, as we are not responsible for buyer remorse. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.

Here is a sweet ring, consisting of a flower made of 6 pearls (1 of which is a replacement), centered by a tiny rose cut diamond. There is a compartment underneath, perhaps for storing a tiny lock of hair, but the glass is gone. The ring tests as a very strong 14k, so it is probably 15k. There is cobalt blue enameling on the shoulders, which we’ve had repaired – this ring was obviously well loved, and it’s still beautiful. Size 6. Early Victorian...

This sweet ring comes out of the Art Deco era of The Great Gatsby. The diamond is a very sparkly “transitional” diamond, i.e., between the older styles of cutting and the modern round brilliant style. It weighs approximately .63 (or 63/100th of a carat), the color is in the JKL range, and it is just really pretty. We don’t really know how to photograph diamonds, so the photos don’t do it justice. The diamond is set in platinum, and the ring shank is (marked) 14k gold...

Here is a small, charming gold-filled Victorian or Edwardian fretwork pin. It measures 15/16” x 7/8”. Somewhat worn in places, but still very pretty. Oddly, the watch hanger tests as 10k. Signed SIMMONS and RFS & Co (for the R.F. Simmons Co. of Attleboro, MA). Circa 1900. Please read this description and look at the photos very carefully, as we are not responsible for buyer remorse. The mix of metals makes this sash buckle quite unusual in my experience. The silver plate shows some wear - yellow metal shows through at some of the high points. We believe the gold to be about 9kt, and it’s also a plating of some type. The buckle measures 3 x 2-1/2" and weighs in at 47.5 grams. Unmarked. In overall very good condition, except for the few worn spots already mentioned; the gold might be a little worn in a few places too – it’s difficult to tell because of the texturing...

These lovely earrings have nice long dangles – the entire earring measures 1-3/4 long, and the dangle is 1-5/16”. They measure just under 1/2” at the widest point. The dangles have a charming bird and flower motif. They were sold to me as 18k, but they are unmarked and I got odd test results. This could be due to their country of origin...

Here is a truly lovely garland necklace out of the Edwardian era, with an Art Nouveau design sensibility. It is pictured in Vivienne Becker’s “Art Nouveau Jewelry” on page 185. She describes it as having “festoons of gold chain in the Edwardian manner, set with peridots, and decorated with shaded satin enamel, c. 1900.” It is unmarked, but tests as 14k gold. It centers an oval peridot, has several small pearls, and an accent diamond; also a dropper ending with another oval peridot...

This gorgeous lavalier sports a light purple amethyst (reputedly good for clarity of mind), framed by rose gold panels which could be seen as Nouveau or Arts & Crafts. It has a pearl dangle with good luster which is interestingly off-round. Measuring 1-5/8” including the pearl but not the ring, by 7/8”. The amethyst measures 3/8” x ¼”. It is marked “9ct” but tests as 10k. It weighs 2.1g and is in excellent antique condition...

Here we have a pretty 9k yellow gold pendant. The design is Art Nouveau/Arts & Crafts. It is centered by a dark red garnet, possibly a spessartite. Garnets are the birthstone for January, and were thought to bring travelers safely home. The dangle is set with a blister pearl of a mellow off-white color. There are 3 tiny seed pearls in the main setting...

This lovely slide bracelet has 11 (10K & 14k) gold slides, some of which have opals and seed pearls and what looks like coral. The central slide depicts a beautiful Art Nouveau flower. The clasp is gold filled or 9k, the gold paperclip chain tests as 10k, but the round beads are hard to test beyond confirming that they are gold. One slide has a 14k hallmark and a maker’s mark, and one other has a maker’s mark, which looks like an oak leaf. It weighs in at 16.6g. It is about 7-1/2” long, 7...

Here is a pretty 15k gold ring, made in Birmingham in England. There are 4 purplish garnets across the top, in excellent condition, highlighted by 6 seed pearls. Garnets (January birthstone) are known as the “stones of love and devotion,” and are also thought to bring balance to life. The setting is closed backed, and inside the engraved shank it is fully hallmarked with the anchor for Birmingham, “15” and “625” for 15k gold, and the X for 1872-1873. It has been re-sized on either si...

Here is a lovely pair of white gold-fronted double cuff links. Each end is marked WHITE GOLD FRONT BELAIS 14K; TALON GRIP TRADEMARK, and is octagonal, measuring 5/8 x 7/16”, with rigid connectors, hinged at one end. Belais Brothers were amongst the first to develop a formula for white gold (their patent was for 1917). Many think they were the premier workers in white gold, and their jewels are highly collectible. These show some wear to the gold, with a bit of red metal (copper?) showing throu...

The beetle is in very good condition (though the pin is slightly bent), and is set in unmarked but tested 14k rose gold. The beetle itself is 9/16” x 7/16” at the widest point, and is held firmly in place by 4 prongs. The whole thing is 2-3/4” long. The Victorians loved to use all kinds of organic things in their jewelry, including real beetles. This particular type seems to have been a favorite. They are very collectible! We have been told they are late Victorian, so probably Circa 1880. ...

This ring is classic and stunning – when worn, the liveliness of the stones is riveting! Demantoids from the original mines in the Ural Mountains of Russia (which we believe this is) that are this big are very rare. This one is slightly oval, has the diagnostic horsetail inclusions, and is of an older cut. Some of the facets are a little abraded, but its beauty is still remarkable, especially since we’ve just had the table (the top, flat, facet) re-polished. The appraisal states that the est...

Perfect for Valentine’s Day! Ruby is the birthstone for July, and symbolizes love, devotion, and immortality. Pearls symbolize purity and harmony. What a great combination for these pretty earrings! They are marked 375 for 9 karat gold, although they test as 10k. The hanging flower basket motif is quite charming! They contain a total of 16 rubies and 18 seed pearls. The total length is 1-7/8”, and together they weight 4.3g. As usual with older earrings, it’s possible that the wires are ...

Here is a lovely and graceful fairy, made in the Art Nouveau style. While new, she still conveys the design ethos of a bygone era. (During the Nouveau era – roughly 1890–1915 - there were very few fairy jewels made.) She is made from 18k yellow gold, and her wings are plique a jour (translucent enamel). The colors shade from pink to almost white, and then into green. Her golden hair is accented by a round brilliant cut diamond, and at her feet is a cultured pearl dangle. The back is stamped ...
