Here is a fascinating ring consisting of strands of rose gold tied in a knot, and studded with gold balls. One ball is missing, which makes it pleasantly asymmetrical. The decorated area measures 5/8 x ½” and the shank measures 3/16”. The ring has a maker’s mark (“J.M”), the anchor for Birmingham, the date mark for 1903-4, “9”, and “375”, however it tests as 10k. It’s approximately size 7, and weighs 5.2g...

This simple yet elegant gold washed lavalier evokes both the Nouveau and the Deco eras with its design. It measures 1-3/8” without the bale, and ½” at the widest point. It features 3 dark purple stones, which may be glass – we couldn’t identify them with certainty. The top stone’s facets are somewhat abraded, and there is wear to the metal. Circa 1920. The photos are part of the description, so please examine them with care. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance free within the USA.

This lovely ring is composed of a cluster of 7 amethysts, birthstone for February (and historically thought to guard against drunkenness and poison), and on either side of the cluster, a bezel-set accent diamond (of about I clarity) and one tiny half seed pearl. The ring is approximately size 6-1/2, and would be easy to re-size. Marked 10K and signed ECI. In excellent condition, with just a bit of patina. The gold is yellow, despite looking rosy in the photos...

This gorgeous stickpin depicts a lovely woman in profile with a pearl nestled in her curls. Marked 14k, it’s made from yellow gold, and signed by the maker. It measures 2-3/8”, and weighs 2.0g or .07 oz. The pin is slightly bent, and the back is dented a little, but this doesn’t detract from the beauty of this enchanting jewel. Historical note: Mr. Blank of Whiteside & Blank was a Titanic survivor! Circa 1900...

This pretty stick pin is classic Art Nouveau. It is centered by an amethyst, birthstone for February (coming right up!). Back in the day amethysts were thought to ward off drunkenness, as well as being a cure for headaches (we see a theme here!). There is a seed pearl above and one below, all mounted in a (marked and tested) 14k “whiplash” frame. Measuring 1/2” x 2-1/4" long, it weighs 1.5g. There is an illegible maker’s mark...

Here is a lovely French lavalier, measuring 1-1/8” (not including the jump ring) by 11/16”. It features 3 rose cut diamonds and 3 (cultured?) pearls. Marked only “DEPOSE”, it tests as 18k. The stones are set in white metal, but it’s hard to tell what kind – probably either gold or platinum. We believe this used to be a part of a larger piece, however, the transformation was done very skillfully, and it is in overall very good condition...

This lovely and detailed Titanic-era garland necklace features a heart with wings, symbolic of love and openness. The heart has green enamel with orange highlights, and it and the wings are set with seed pearls. Above are gold curlicues, and below is a (tested) diamond dropper. It’s got a faint 10k mark on the back, but tests as 14k. The spring ring is marked 1/20 14k Gold Filled, but the chain tests for 14k, so the spring ring may be a replacement...

Here is a pretty lady’s face in profile. Her long golden hair trails down to end with a tiny baroque or freshwater pearl. Total length of the face, hair and pearl is nearly ¾”. This design was based on a drawing by Charles Dana Gibson – a Gibson Girl! Please see the final photograph. It is hallmarked 14k, weighs 1.2g, and is in excellent condition. It doesn’t have a maker’s mark, but we have seen this exact stick pin with Alling’s mark. Circa 1910...

This lovely navette-shaped pin or brooch from the Arts & Crafts era measures 2-1/4 x 3/8”. It has a leaf and berries design, centered by a blister pearl of an intriguing shape. It is marked STERLING, and the pin-stem assembly is original. We have not cleaned it, so it has a nice patina and a little bit of tarnish. In excellent condition, and circa 1900. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.

Here is a beautiful Victorian cameo, set in flourishes of yellow gold and decorated with 4 pearls. The background is a slightly darker pink than the lady herself. The attention to detail in the carving is nice, and she is in very good condition. There is one missing pearl – the one above the pearl dangle - but it’s unnoticeable. It seems to say “SIG” in script across the back. The bail is signed with “10K” inside what looks like a stylized “C”. It measures 1-13/16” not includin...

Emeralds (birthstone for May) have been thought to preserve love (great for Valentine's Day), and bring wisdom. These sweet bright green emerald earrings are unmarked, but the gold tests as 14k. They are 13/16” long, and the buttercup settings measure ½” across. The stones measure 5-1/2mm across. I believe the ear wires used to have hooks to slip into, but those are gone and the stubs filed down and smoothed over for comfort. One of the emeralds is chipped in the back, but both stones face ...

This gorgeous jewel sports 2 large and lovely peridots. The central stone is cushion cut, and the dangle is pear-shaped. It is decorated with a total of 28 seed pearls of colors that vary slightly, set into the leaves & vine-like gold ribbons. It is marked 14k on 1 leaf and the spring ring. In excellent condition. The decorative panels measure 3-1/2" x 1", and the whole thing measures 15-1/4" total (we have gold necklace extenders available if that’s too short). Circa 1910, right around the ti...

I love this ring, which could have been worn by Daisy Buchanan in The Great Gatsby, or by any of the stylish ladies of Downton Abbey. A cabochon of green chalcedony (thought by Native Americans to promote harmony and good will), reminiscent of high quality jade, is surrounded by red and green enamel on the setting. The shank has Celtic interlace decoration (also called entrelac), highlighted with more red and green enamel. It is just slightly smaller than size 6, and the top measures 13/16” x ...

This gorgeous old Victorian brooch is in the shape of a love knot, and was most likely a wedding gift to a bride. It consists of 50 old-cut diamonds, 5 rubies, and 3 rosy-colored pearls, all mounted on silver-topped rose gold. Weighing in at 5.7 g, it measures 1-3/4” x 7/8”. These cuff links are really pretty! The Nouveau sensibility is strong – flowing lines highlighting a naturalistic motif of iris blossoms. Irises symbolize hope, valor, and wisdom. The French fleur-de-lis is modeled on an iris. Unmarked, they test as 10k gold. The decorated panels are 1” x ½”, and they weigh 3.9g. Please read this description and look at the photos very carefully, as we are not responsible for buyer remorse. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.
